Career and Technical Education

Header

Berkeley County School District’s Office of Career and Technical Education (CTE) provides educational opportunities based on the interests and needs of individual learners and the community as a whole. CTE provides students with leadership development and community service opportunities while preparing them for post-secondary education and careers. Our intent is to prepare all students, regardless of their backgrounds or circumstances, for further education and cutting-edge careers. Students who take advantage of rigorous, relevant, and results-driven CTE programs will become global citizens.

Tomorrow's jobs will require more knowledge, better skills, and more flexible workers than ever before. Tomorrow's workers must be prepared to change jobs and careers several times, continually updating their knowledge and skills because technological advances and global competition have transformed the nature of work.

Our goal is to ensure that all students graduate with purposeful knowledge and skills that will enable them to be successful in a highly competitive, global economy.
