Education is not a journey we navigate alone. It takes strong partnerships—with parents, community stakeholders, local businesses, and nonprofit organizations—to truly make a difference. To make these partnerships powerful, we must engage in intentional planning and collaboration, ensuring that each initiative aligns with the vision of our district and our partners.

Powerful Partnerships: Making a difference to build a brighter future together
30,000 decisions
I’ve read numerous articles and studies suggesting that the average person makes about 35,000 decisions a day. Whether or not that number is exact, one thing I do know firsthand is that as a leader, decision-making is constant—and the weight of those decisions can be heavy.
Leading together for a brighter future
As I start my third year as Superintendent of Berkeley County School District, I’m both humbled and grateful. The last two years have been a mix of challenges and celebrations, but most importantly, they’ve been full of opportunities to grow and serve.
