Matthew Smith graduated from the College of Charleston with a bachelor's degree in psychology and later received a master's degree in school counseling from the Citadel.  He's been employed with Berkeley County School District as a middle school counselor since 2008, and working with the students and community of College Park Middle since 2016.  He's passionate about building students' self-confidence, empathy towards others and instilling a sense of pride and personal responsibility in students' work and treatment of others.
