About MMSOA

Marrington Middle School of the Arts auditorium

Marrington Middle School of the Arts serves students who are rising sixth graders from Howe Hall AIMS or Marrington Elementary along with students who are identified as artistically gifted and talented as a part of BCSD's STEP programs. Each student must pick and participate in one of the following art majors: band, chorus, dance, orchestra, theater or visual arts. Each year, students perform a school musical that encompasses all fine arts majors. All students have the opportunity and are encouraged to audition and participate in the show.

Because of its commitment to fine arts in education, teachers use the arts as a unifying theme for instruction, promote an environment to develop creative instructional techniques and provide co-curricular experiences with outside stakeholders. Whether planning for students’ academic futures or for the stage, MMSOA's faculty and staff are dedicated to providing the best academic and artistic education for their students.
