Alison Thornley has established her roots in Berkeley County as a Stratford High School alumni, and as an educator for the past twenty-one years. Professionally, she started in the district as a Social Studies teacher at Stratford High School where she coached volleyball, basketball, quest, and sponsored multiple club organizations. She served as an Assistant Principal at Stratford High School for six years and then transitioned to Hanahan High School as an administrator where she’s been for the last eight years. While at Hanahan, Thornley has served as the administrator over the Freshman class, curriculum and instructional specialist, lead over special education, and school enrichment programs.
Thornley studied Sociology and Secondary Education at Francis Marion University where she was a collegiate athlete. She has her master’s degree in Educational Leadership from The Citadel.
