Dr. Brian C. Shaw is the Title I Facilitator at St. Stephen Middle School. Dr. Shaw is committed to improving student achievement and outcomes and overcoming barriers for all students. He earned a B.S degree in Psychology from the University of South Carolina, a M.A. in Business Administration from Central Michigan University, M.ED in Special Education from Bowie State University and a Ph.D. D in Educational Leadership from Capella University.

Dr. Shaw is an expert in the area of behavior management for students and has developed effective behavior management programs throughout his career. Over the past 20 years, Dr. Shaw has worked in a variety of areas in education. He has served as an educational consultant for special education, instructional coach for Multi-Tiered System of Support and a coordinator and director of student services. In addition, he has presented at conferences and provided training to educators in the areas of special education, leadership and behavior management.

Dr. Shaw’s philosophy of education is that all students should be given equal access to education no matter a student's circumstances. Dr. Shaw’s goal is to provide students with the necessary tools to be successful because, he has experienced first-hand, when a child is afforded a level playing field the sky is the limit.
