Program Offerings

  • English as a Second Language (ESL) ***Fishburne location only

  • High School Diploma (HSD)

  • High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED/GED®)

Day and evening classes are offered for all programs. Workplace reading and math skills, soft skills, digital literacy, resume’ writing, mock interviews, and preparation for WIN and WorkKeys are integrated into the curricula.

Testing

ACCUPLACER ***Adult Learning Center location only

The Next-Gen ACCUPLACER test helps identify strengths and weaknesses in each subject area and assists with placing students in the appropriate classes for their skill levels.  This test is used for admission into our technical college system. 

GED®

The GED test covers four subject areas: Math, Science, Social Studies, and Reasoning Through Language Arts. When students pass all four areas, they earn their high school equivalency diploma. Visit the Registration Information page to view registration dates.

GED Ready

The GED Ready consists of practice tests designed to assist individuals in determining if they are ready to take their GED exams.

ParaPro Assessment ***Adult Learning Center location only

The ParaPro Assessment is a general aptitude test that is required in many states for paraprofessional certification.  It also offers school districts an objective assessment of your foundation of knowledge and skills.

Test of Basic Adult Education (TABE)

The new TABE 11&12 tests are secure, reliable, and valid assessments used to assess the achievement of examinees on core content areas taught and assessed as part of Adult Basic Education programs nationwide. The TABE test is aligned to the national College and Career Readiness Standards for the three core subject areas: Reading, Mathematics, and Language.

Worldwide Interactive Network (WIN)

WIN is an employment skills system. Employers use WIN to measure workplace skills of employees and job applicants.  Three areas are assessed: applied mathematics, reading for information, and locating information.

WorkKeys

WorkKeys is a system of assessments and curriculum that build and measure essential workplace skills that can affect your job performance and increase opportunities for career changes and advancement. By completing the assessments, students can earn the National Career Readiness Certificate® (NCRC®).
