Do you think your child (grades 3-9) may be gifted? If you are not sure, here is a link to some common characteristics, according to the National Association for Gifted Children. If your child exhibits several of these characteristics, the student may be gifted and talented.
Students who are properly registered with Berkeley County School District will be screened with the Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT) in the fall. To nominate a student for further screening please complete this form by September 15, 2023.
All BCSD students are screened in second grade by the state’s assessment system and we analyze State Assessments along with iReady EL and Math scores for all students each year to look for potential GT students.
