“We are extremely appreciative of our partnership with Hoover of Summerville and Moncks Corner and excited to use these funds to support our student athletes,” said Cane Bay High School Assistant Principal for Athletics, Brian Swiney. “Words are insufficient to express the impact of this sizable, game-changing donation. I want to also thank the parents of our students who work at Hoover as they are the reason we have received this support. We truly cannot say thank you enough.”

The Hoover Automotive Group also generously donated two brand new golf carts, worth more than $30,000, to the Athletic Booster Club and to the Cane Bay School leadership. Hoover COO Jeremy Jimenzez described acts like supporting the athletic programs at Cane Bay High as a “cornerstone of the Hoover team.”

“The Hoover team and family are excited to be able to support the kids in our community as well as the teams at Cane Bay,” he said. “Working with the leadership has been a pleasure, and we look forward to supporting Cane Bay Athletics. As a family-owned business in the area for over 50 years, family and community has been and continues to be the cornerstone of the Hoover team. For me, personally, I have lived in this area for 30 plus years and can’t say how thankful I am to be able to assist in giving back to the community in which my family lives.”

Cane Bay Athletic Booster Club president Dee McKeen said the sponsorship from Hoover surpasses expectations.

“Hoover owners Vickie Muren and Mark Hoover are class acts, and we appreciate that they put their employees and local school support first,” McKeen said. "We are extremely grateful for their ongoing partnership.”
