Goose Creek Elementary had a great turnout for its 2023 Hispanic Heritage Fiesta.

This event was held in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, which runs Sept. 15 through Oct. 15.

Following the school's Title I meeting Thursday night, families ventured outside to the front of the school to participate in the festivities. A lot of children of Hispanic descent wore attire that represented their family's heritage.

The school celebrated with traditional dancers, assorted games, and arts and crafts. There was also a giant cake resembling the Mexican flag that was a huge hit. Families also enjoyed refreshments from the Kona Ice truck and the Antojitos food truck.

Broose the Goose, the City of Goose Creek's mascot, also made an appearance.
