Cainhoy Elementary wrapped up its school day on Oct. 31 by hosting a Halloween parade behind the school just before dismissal.
Both students and staff members enjoyed dressing up for the occasion. Spiderman was a popular outfit this year, along with aliens, fairies and vampires. Principal LaWanda Glears was joined by several other staff members in dressing up as characters from "Snow White and the Seven Dwarves."
Staff members stationed themselves at different spots around the school's football field while teachers took their classes to walk the full the circle and gather candy. AFJROTC students from Philip Simmons High also came out to the school to help distribute candy.
