Cane Bay Middle and Hanahan Middle band students at Limestone University

On the weekend after Thanksgiving, 19 middle school students from Berkeley County School District traveled to Gaffney, South Carolina to participate in Limestone University's  Middle School Honor Band Clinic. Under the leadership of directors Jonathan Hernandez and Andre North, Cane Bay Middle and Hanahan Middle were the only schools from BCSD to attend.

Throughout the Southeast, hundreds of middle school students are nominated by their band directors to audition for and participate in Limestone's Middle School Honor Band Clinic. This year, the clinicians were Spencer Nance, director of bands at Limestone University, and Emmy award-winning composer, John McAllister.

Nance and McAllister directed two honor bands that put on a wonderful final concert. Bravo to the  students below and these two band programs on a job well done!
