At the end of the school year, the South Carolina Music Educators Association's Orchestra Division awards schools the Outstanding Performance Award for their orchestra performances at SCMEA's assessments. The Outstanding Performance Award is the highest possible award available to orchestra programs in South Carolina.

Orchestras gain points toward the award by participating and scoring highly in the following SCMEA Orchestra events: Region and All-State Orchestra, Concert Performance Assessment and Solo & Ensemble. This year Cane Bay High and Stratford High's orchestras gained enough points to receive this prestigious award.

Congratulations to both programs!
