Congratulations are in order for Berkeley High's and Stratford High's Beta Club sponsors! Both sets of sponsors achieved National Beta Educator of Excellence status for their efforts during the 2023-2024 school year.
According to the National Beta website, this award is meant for sponsors who are committed to club growth, completing acts of service and attending National Beta events. Therefore, recipients of this designation have accomplished these four achievements:
They received National Beta School of Distinction status.
They received National Beta School of Merit status.
They attended a Leadership Summit, State Convention, and/or National Convention with their Beta students.
They achieved one of National Beta's Service Project Tier Awards.
Because of the level of dedication it takes to reach these goals, this is the highest honor a Beta Club sponsor can receive. Nationally, only 257 out of 20,000 sponsors received the 2023-2024 National Beta Educator of Excellence award.
Berkeley County School District is incredibly proud of Kathy Jones, Brittany Colley, and Jeremy Colley at Berkeley High and Connie Moak, Melissa Rooney, and April Hunt at Stratford High for bringing this award home.
