As I start my third year as Superintendent of Berkeley County School District, I’m both humbled and grateful. The last two years have been a mix of challenges and celebrations, but most importantly, they’ve been full of opportunities to grow and serve.
What inspires me most is the heart of this district—our dedicated leaders, teachers, students, and families. Together, we’ve faced obstacles, made progress, and kept moving forward. And while there’s more to do, I’m excited about what’s ahead because of our shared commitment to making a real difference.
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said it best: “We can get more together than we can apart.” Collaboration is what makes this work possible, and I’m so thankful for everyone who’s part of this journey:
- A Board of Trustees focused on moving us forward.
- Leaders who believe in and push for our vision.
- Teachers who give their all every day.
- Parents who are our daily partners.
- And students who remind us why we do what we do.
This work isn’t easy, but it’s worth every bit of effort. Together, we can make sure every student has the opportunities and experiences they deserve. Let’s keep going—because we’re better, stronger, and more capable when we do this together.
