Teachers spent the day attending a series of workshops and classroom sessions to receive tools and resources to better lead their classrooms and set their students up for success. The sessions were led by fellow teachers, district officers and even special guests.
Sessions were held at multiple schools in the district but most of them were held at Cane Bay High. Teachers signed up for sessions that focused on a range of different topics like how to incorporate movement into lessons, how to engage parents in their students’ learning, how to navigate state standards in different subject areas, and more. They covered unique classroom lessons, activities and projects that really engage students and get them excited about learning. Teachers could also attend sessions that focused on safety, such as CPR training, “Stop the Bleed!” training, and understanding internet safety.
