In March, five Berkeley County School District middle schools participated in SCMEA's Choral Performance Assessment. Choirs were judged on their sight-singing and performance capabilities. Schools could have multiple choirs perform at the assessment.
Judges could give choirs a rating of Poor, Fair, Good, Excellent or Superior for their performance. Choirs received a Superior with Distinction when the judges unanimously gave them a Superior rating.
