Last week, five Berkeley County School District high schools participated in SCMEA's Band Concert Performance Assessment. Groups were judged on both their performance and sight reading capabilities. Schools could have multiple bands perform at the assessment.
Judges could give a rating of Poor, Fair, Good, Excellent or Superior for the assessment. If a band received a Superior from all the judges, they were awarded the highest possible rating, Superior with Distinction.
