The Office of Finance is responsible for Goal 5 which is Fiscal Responsibility.  It reads, "We will be proactive in obtaining and utilizing resources to provide a world-class education for all students." 

We also see our role as supporting and collaborating with all the departments to provide a quality education for our children.  We have an experienced staff whose vision is centered on the 40,000 children that we serve every day.

In response to the COVID-19 Pandemic, schools around the globe were shut down. They were later reopened with precautions in place to minimize the impact of the virus while also allowing for the invaluable experience of face-to-face instruction. Linked below is Berkeley County School District's plan, which was one of the first approved by the South Carolina State Department of Education (SCDE). Public school plans like this one are required by the SCDE to be linked on school websites until further notice. In addition, you will find information about the American Rescue Plan Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund (ARP ESSER Fund). This legislation awarded grants to state educational agencies across the nation.
