Berkeley Elementary fourth grader Olivia Kirby scored the regional title in the 2025 Governor’s Art Contest on Litter Prevention!
Kirby, along with the three other regional winners and the state winner, were all recognized at the State House in Columbia last week. Her artwork is a vibrant poster, done mostly in marker, of a starfish overwhelmed by litter.
Kirby was joined up at the State House by her art teacher, Jana Ward, and her homeroom teacher, Heather Boltin, along with her family.
