Throughout the week, BCSD hosted multiple Unified Games for over 200 student athletes with special needs across the district.
On March 19, Goose Creek High hosted athletes and general education students from Goose Creek High, Hanahan High, Stratford High, Hanahan Middle, Westview Middle and Sedgefield Middle for the Unified Games - South. On March 22, Berkeley High hosted athletes and general education students from Berkeley High, Cane Bay High, Timberland High and Sangaree Middle for the Unified Games - North.
Students were able to participate in events like 50-yard dash, relay races and long jumps. They also practiced their physical motor skills with activities like softball throw, bocce ball, obstacle courses and more.
