Residents and community members looking for ways to give back this holiday season are encouraged to sponsor a child in Berkeley County School District through the annual Berkeley ONEderland program.
Berkeley ONEderland has become a holiday tradition in the school district. With the help of sponsor support, BCSD social workers are able to gather gifts and donations for children in need during the holiday season; all donations go straight to BCSD students.
Those interested in sponsoring a child are asked to complete a form to be matched with a child. Forms to be completed by Friday, Nov. 15. Sponsors will start receiving student/family Wish Lists the following week. Sponsors are only asked to fulfill wish lists to the best of their ability.
Gifts need to be dropped off no later than Monday, Dec. 9 by 4 p.m. Sponsors are asked to bring their gifts unwrapped and include their name and contact information when dropping off items.
