2023 was a busy year in Berkeley County School District -- check out a few highlights from the year with some favorite photos below!


Middle school Renaissance students gathered for a day of strategizing and networking during the BCSD Middle School Leadership Conference, held at Westview Middle in January. View photos.

Stratford High culinary arts students showed off their cooking skills during Career and Technology Education Month in February. View story.

In March, BCSD's OneBerkeley United Games nearly doubled in size compared to last year's event, welcoming 20 schools from around the district at the Moncks Corner Regional Recreation Complex for a morning of fun and games. View story.

 

High school athletes got some serious air during the 2023 BCSD Track and Field Championships, held at Philip Simmons High in April. View more photos.

A particularly hot Saturday certainly did not deter thousands of families from coming to the OneBerkeley Back to School Festival in August. Probably the biggest attraction of the event was the district's backpack giveaway. View story.

The first day of school was a big one for the district, as BCSD also celebrated the opening of the brand new Carolyn Lewis School in Carnes Crossroads.  View story.
