Mrs. Joyner’s 7th grade classes are using their creativity on imaginary animals in order to present their habitats, food webs, and symbiotic relationships. They will be presenting their projects in class!

The CLS Annual Potato Book Character Contest has come to a close, this year’s entries were nothing short of phenomenal! We couldn't be more proud of our students' creative abilities and their enthusiasm for literacy. Thank you to everyone who participated and made this event a success! This morning, our Renaissance Ambassadors visited homerooms to support Read Across America Week. They engaged in read-aloud sessions and had discussions about literacy with our students during morning meetings!






The BCSD Student, Teacher, and Parent Climate Surveys window opened on Monday March 3rd and will close Friday March 21st. All students in grades 3-12 and all teachers, librarians, guidance counselors, ROTC instructors, career specialists, and speech therapists are expected to participate in the survey. Brooklyn Lathrop and Kayla Shay Bowen won the Design Your Own Stamp Contest! They had to create a stamp that honors and celebrates an African American who has made a positive contribution to society. They will be honored at Goose Creek's City Council Meeting on March 11th and their art will be displayed on Goose Creek's social media.


What an exciting week in the Media Center! We had incredible visitors, including BCSD Superintendent Dr. Dixon, who joined us to celebrate literacy. Dr. Dixon took the time to read to our students and mingle with our amazing staff.
