This afternoon, Mrs. Girch surprised some of her students with their own certificates of excellence! Way to go Outstanding Otters!

Don't forget to join us this Thursday at 5:00 for Family Literacy Night!

To all who served, thank you for your service!
GCE is proud of our very own Veterans.

Welcome Officer Ransom!
We are so excited to have Officer Ransom as our new School Resource Officer. Officer Ransom has 17 years of Law Enforcement experience. When not working he enjoys fishing, riding motorcycles, and coaching football. Officer Ransom has three children of his own. He is excited to help GCE students learn and grow in a safe environment!

Dr. Gebhardt, Mrs. Martin, and Mrs. Alessandro surprised the students with a little early trick or treating! Our students are sweeter than any candy you can buy!

What a wonderful wellness week! Monday we wore hats for mental health and yesterday we dressed as our favorite book character because reading is great for our mental and educational health!

Trunk or Treat was amazing! Our parking lot was full of candies and smiles!

GCE Otters!
Don't forget to join us for our 2nd Annual Trunk or Treat! We will open up our parking lot at 5:30 and finish at 7:00 or as soon as the candy is gone! Feel free to wear your Halloween costume and don't forget to bring your own sack!

The kindergarten students in Ms. McGee's and Mrs. Henley's class used chalk and playdough to create 2-dimensional shapes.

Goose Creek Elementary has been blessed by the Goose Creek Walmart Supercenter and Walmart Neighborhood Market! These generous stores have provided enough pumpkins for each of our classes to get their very own pumpkin! Each class will be decorating their pumpkin to represent their favorite book or book character. Pumpkins will be displayed at next Thursday's Trunk or Treat! We would also like to give a special thanks to Terrell, a Goose Creek Elementary Alumni, for loading up Dr. Gebhardt's car. He is not only incredibly strong, but also an amazingly kind young man who we are proud to call one of our own. Thanks Terrell for proving that "once an otter, always an otter"!

Students in Mrs. Drennon's and Mrs. Myer's 4K class are having so much fun exploring the roles of community helpers in dramatic play centers!

EDIT: Oops! Wellness week in NOT next week, it is in two weeks! Please forgive this error, we are just too excited!
Next week is Wellness week at GCE!
