March is Music in our Schools Month! We want to highlight what your students have been doing in the music classroom! Our students have been learning about jazz music in the music classroom! They have studied the history of jazz, specific characteristics about the genre, and different famous artist. 3rd and 4th grades have been working on some amazing art and music integration projects in the classroom! Students drew images of Miles Davis a famous jazz trumpeter and created collages influenced by Henri Matisse, who listened to jazz music while creating his art. #musicinourschools

Families enjoyed our literacy sessions and dove into our engagement kits to take home to extend learning at home while enjoying a love for reading.
Students unpacked the engagement kits with their families at the session so that they had time to ask questions about the resources.
