On the weekend after Thanksgiving, 11 Hanahan Middle students traveled to Gaffney, South Carolina to participate in Limestone University's Middle School Honor Band Clinic. Under the leadership of Andre North, Hanahan Middle was one of only two schools from BCSD to attend.
Throughout the Southeast, hundreds of middle school students are nominated by their band directors to audition for and participate in Limestone's Middle School Honor Band Clinic. This year, the clinicians were Spencer Nance, director of bands at Limestone University, and Emmy award-winning composer, John McAllister.
Nance and McAllister directed two honor bands that put on a wonderful final concert. Bravo to the students below on a job well done!
