Congratulations to our HMS Heroes of the Month for October . The trait for October was courage: speaking up for what is right, taking on new challenges. We would like to recognize the following students: 6th grade, Kaylee Payne; 7th grade Thais Romero Quispe; 8th grade Jaden Fields; special area, Leni Moore. Each student received a certificate and was treated to a Chick-Fil-A lunch.

HMS Student Council braved the rainy, chilly weather on Saturday to participate in the Hanahan Christmas Parade. Such a great crew led by one of our teachers, Mrs. Alexis Brock.💙🧡

The Hanahan Middle Robotics Team is participating in a Scrimmage at East Edisto Middle with VEX V5 “Push Back." Thank you Ms. Fletcher for all of your support of this team. Help us send some positive vibes their way. Go Hawks!

The Band Fall Fest was an amazing performance that gave all the seasonal vibes! Thank you Mr. North for leading this talented group of musicians.

We had so MANY nominations for our faculty and staff LEGEND of the month at HMS. Everyone enjoyed receiving all the kind words and messages. Congratulations to Ms. Amanda Tolbert, school counselor, for being chosen as the September LEGEND of the Month! She received a gift card to Texas Roadhouse!

Students in our Art 1 class have been putting into practice the difference between a critique and criticism. They are adding comments that are suggestions, likes, and questions on each other's recent artwork. Students are able to take that feedback from their peers and complete the project with revisions.
