Counseling Services

Berkeley County School District and its counselors align school counseling practices with the goals and South Carolina Comprehensive Developmental School Counseling Program. To accomplish the program goals, the South Carolina Comprehensive Developmental School Counseling Program is an integral part of the school system’s total educational program. The program includes sequential activities in the elementary, middle, and high schools.

The ASCA School Counselor Professional Standards and Competencies are also utilized as a guide to meet the needs of K-12 students.

In Berkeley County School District, it is our mission to implement a comprehensive school counseling program to assist students, families, teachers, administrators and other school staff in facilitating and supporting student-driven learning experiences. We will help our students create a future we dare to imagine and make a positive difference.
