SC Superintendent Weaver with a class

It's always a special day when the S.C. Superintendent of Education visits your school!

S.C. Superintendent of Education Ellen Weaver dropped by Nexton Elementary yesterday to observe John Maxwell Leadership Foundation's i-Lead curriculum in NES's classrooms.

Weaver observed and talked to students in three fifth grade classes - Mrs. Drummond, Mrs. Traverse and Mrs. Cook- and one fourth grade class - Mrs. Lowe. Following classroom observations with multiple district officials in tow, including BCSD Superintendent Anthony Dixon, Weaver conducted a roundtable discussion with seven NES teachers to hear firsthand how i-Lead has helped their students and led to major breakthrough moments in class.
