What an incredible day of inspiration and community spirit at Nexton Elementary! We were absolutely thrilled to welcome the amazing Cane Bay High School JROTC for an unforgettable collaboration with our very own Nexton Elementary Color Guard.
Our 5th Grade Color Guard was captivated as the cadets demonstrated the honored traditions of precision flag folding, raising and lowering the flag, and so much more! Beyond sharing their impressive technical skills, these stellar high schoolers stepped up as fantastic mentors, showing our students what dedication, respect, and true leadership look like in action.

Preparation + Determination=Growth
Our students are making gains in math! For the 2025-2026 school year, our SC Ready Math scores increased by 7.2 percent. According to the South Carolina Department of Education, this makes us the school district with the third-highest growth in SC Ready Math scores in the state!
