Nexton's Wellness Committee worked very hard this year and once again received the MUSC Wellness Grant. This year Nexton received $750 from MUSC to continue to incentivize wellness for Students and Staff at Nexton Elementary.

"Never stop learning because life never stops teaching". Nexton is hosting a Summer Reading and Math Program. When students return to school, if they return these completed, there will be a prize for them. This is optional, but is very beneficial for all students to continue to progress in learning.

SCREADY Testing will begin in one week on Tuesday, May 5th. This is for all 3rd-5th grade students only. Our Amazing P.T.A. has purchased some prizes for students to promote students arriving on time and completing each test daily. Testing will begin no later than 7:45am each day.

Join us on Thursday, April 23 for an evening full of fun activities and information designed to help your upcoming kindergartener get excited about school! Sign in begins at 4:30 and fun sessions - which include seeing a kindergarten classroom, touring the school, and kindergarten games - begin at 5:00. Our new students will get to explore the school, meet our teachers, and make new friends before the 26-27 school year begins!
