Get ready to jump into an incredible year! We’re kicking things off with Meet the Teacher Night on Monday, August 10th from 5:00–6:30 PM. Stop by anytime during those hours to meet your teacher, check out your classroom, and get pumped for day one!

Need to Know for August 10th:

🚗 Parking: On-campus parking will be limited. Both front and back doors will be open to help traffic flow smoothly.

📲 Homerooms: Teacher assignments go live on the PowerSchool App/Parent Portal on August 10th.

🗺️ Need Help? Staff will be on hand to guide you. (Note: Unregistered students won't have an assigned teacher yet, but are still invited to drop in for a tour!)

Nexton's Wellness Committee worked very hard this year and once again received the MUSC Wellness Grant. This year Nexton received $750 from MUSC to continue to incentivize wellness for Students and Staff at Nexton Elementary.

"Never stop learning because life never stops teaching". Nexton is hosting a Summer Reading and Math Program. When students return to school, if they return these completed, there will be a prize for them. This is optional, but is very beneficial for all students to continue to progress in learning.

SCREADY Testing will begin in one week on Tuesday, May 5th. This is for all 3rd-5th grade students only. Our Amazing P.T.A. has purchased some prizes for students to promote students arriving on time and completing each test daily. Testing will begin no later than 7:45am each day.
