The hirings of several assistant principals were approved by the Berkeley County Board of Education during June 24 and July 15 regular meetings.
All of the newly-hired assistant principals began work on their campuses immediately or were scheduled to assume roles ahead of August.
Jamie Cook will serve as an AP at Sedgefield Middle. Cook was previously an ESOL teacher at Stratford High.
Dr. Jason Shover will serve as an AP at Berkeley Middle. Shover was previously the Principal at Big Spring High School in Newville, Pa.
Randall Tucker will serve as the Assistant Principal of Athletics at Cane Bay High. Tucker was previously the Athletic Director at Ashley Ridge High School.
Christal Stevens will serve as an AP at Carolyn Lewis School. Stevens was previously a fifth grade teacher at Cross Elementary.
Alaina Nixon will serve as an AP at Hanahan Elementary. Nixon was previously an assistant principal at Windsor Hill Arts Infused Elementary School in Dorchester District Two.
Mikkail Jenkins will serve as an AP at Hanahan High. Jenkins was previously an assistant principal at Ashley Ridge High School.
James Carraway will serve as an AP at H.E. Bonner Elementary. Caraway was previously an instructional coach at Cross Elementary.
