This morning was our school-wide Monthly Parliament where many students were recognized, including our Student Council leaders and Owlet Cheerleaders! Our staff member honored is Ms. Mitzi Crawford!

More of our 5th graders' hard engineering work!

Using our school's and district's iTow truck, as well as tools like the laser cutter and 3D printer, each 5th grade group collaborated to develop personalized projects that could be produced on a grand scale. They followed the engineering and design process to bring their ideas to life and were excited to share their prototype creations with their families. Way to go, 5th grade students and teachers!

🌟 Shoutout to Ms. Nolan and Ms. Fisten's class! 🌟
Thier students participated in an exciting entrepreneurship activity where they designed and created their own unique products! 🎨🛠️ With guidance from our amazing ILCs, students learned valuable skills in creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork. 👏 We can’t wait to see what our future business leaders come up with next! 🚀💡 #FutureEntrepreneurs #HandsOnLearning #CreativeMinds

Red Ribbon Week will be the week of October 28:

🚀 Many of our 4th graders explored the question: 'Does the amount of water affect the time a rocket is in the air?' 🌊 Students put their hypotheses to the test by building and launching film canister rockets. A huge thank you to GSSM Jordan for guiding them through this exciting experiment! 🧪👏 #STEMlearning #HandsOnScience #StudentExplorers

Strong reading skills lead to a bright future for our students. A big thank you to our volunteers from Berkeley Electric Cooperative and Santee Cooper who came to read to our students for BCSD's Literacy Powerhouse Reading Week.

Our students have been hard at work! Check out these beautiful shadow boxes designed and created by our students using the Laser Cutter to celebrate Hispanic Heritage!

Mrs. McGee's Montessori Class had a great experience with the BCSD iTow Truck where they engineered and raced vehicles!

This morning was the official groundbreaking of Jedburg Elementary School. We were happy to experience this with a few of our talented singers to lead the Pledge of Allegiance and sing 2 songs. Thank you, Ms. Hughes and 5th grade students!
