The BCSD Student, Teacher, and Parent Climate Surveys window opened on Monday March 3rd and will close Friday March 21st. All students in grades 3-12 and all teachers, librarians, guidance counselors, ROTC instructors, career specialists, and speech therapists are expected to participate in the survey. Ready to solve the case of the missing breakfast? National School Breakfast Week starts today! To celebrate, students will get to try new menu items for breakfast and be entered to win daily and grand prizes from BCSD Child Nutrition Services.

In honor of Black History Month, Superintendent Dixon paid Westview Primary a visit to read a biographical children’s book about Harriet Tubman, an American hero who escaped slavery and helped save other enslaved people via the Underground Railroad.

We love visits with Dr. Dixon!


Friday, February 7 is a half day for students. WVP will dismiss at 10:55 am. After School will be closed.

Our WVP students and families had a blast today at the WVP United Games! Thanks for all the help setting up and cheering on our athletes.

Feb. 3-7 is National School Counseling Week, and we would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our school counselors for the role they play in student achievement and success.


Congratulations to our top three finalists for Teacher of the Year: Mrs. Rusch-Sauls, Mrs. Farley, and Ms. Scott. We are beyond blessed to have such amazing teachers at WVP!

BCSD schools and offices will re-open and resume normal operations tomorrow, Monday, Jan. 27.

Due to concerns about icy conditions and the ongoing impact of inclement weather, Berkeley County School District students will learn from home and complete eLearning Day assignments on Friday, January 24. In response to ongoing forecasts for wintry weather, to include the potential for snow, Berkeley County School District (BCSD) announced that schools will follow the half-day dismissal bell schedule on Tuesday, January 21. Students will learn from home and complete eLearning Day assignments on Wednesday, January 22. All schools and offices will be closed Wednesday.
