Coach Callum was a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, New Jersey where he attained his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. As a walk-on athlete for his school’s Track & Field program he was able to earn a Division I scholarship for his remaining four years while also working part-time at an Engineering firm to gain experience before graduating in 1996. In his 17 years as an educator of middle school mathematics, he also coached basketball as well as Track & Field at the middle and high school levels.
As an accomplished coach, he has helped many athletes qualify and compete on the state level and even helped a female freshman qualify for the 2019 New Balance Nationals outdoor meet in North Carolina. Coach Callum has a wealth of knowledge and has great expectations for Berkeley’s Track and Field program. He believes that being a teacher at Berkeley Middle school will allow him to build great relationships with the students there and more so in helping build a solid foundation for the high school’s track program. Coach Callum looks forward to working with the solid core of coaches in the Track Program and believes the sky will be the limit for the Stags!
