Do you have a 3, 4, or 5 year old child who will be ready to start school in August? Join us at Bonner Elementary on May 22nd for an information session, take classroom tours, and leave with great resources to use throughout the summer as your little one prepares for their first day of school in August. A continental breakfast will be served beginning at 7:15 a.m. Computers will be onsite if you need help getting your child registered for the upcoming school year.
Following the info session and tour, our after school clubs will be performing in our Spring Showcase. All families are invited to stay and enjoy the performance from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

Mrs. Weston is Bonner's TIRELESS TEAMMATE this week! Mrs. Miller's students chose Mrs. Weston because she is so kind, helps out wherever she is needed, and they love her welcoming smile. Mrs. Weston, your hard work and dedication to our students does not go unnoticed, even the fifth graders see how hard you work and appreciate you greatly! #growtoglow

This week's TIRELESS TEAMMATE is Mrs. Miller. She was chosen by Mrs. Mixson's fifth grade class. Students shared that they absolutely love seeing Mrs. Miller's smile each morning! Her morning greeting is always so kind and welcoming. Her students love the time they spend with her, and they know she works so hard to come up with the best lessons and strategies to help them do their best. Thank you Mrs. Miller for all that you do ❤️.

Our Spring Showcase tells the story of friends traveling across the United States for a Road Trip! We cannot wait for you to see all the hard work our students have put in!

Congratulations to Mrs. Mixson! She was chosen by her homeroom students as our next Tireless Teammate. Mrs. Mixson joined us in the middle of the year to lead her fifth graders to a successful final semester at HBE. Her fifth graders shared that they love that she is always calm but firm, and she is extremely patient and kind. She gives help when needed and extra time to fully understand what her students are learning. Her excitement each day helps her students get excited about learning.

We are so excited for Thursday! Join us for our Art Show from 4-6 pm and Taiko Charleston at 6:00 pm. The book fair will be open from 4-6 pm!


This weekend our drama club participated in SCTA’s Theatre for Youth Festival. Students performed monologues, musical theatre songs, and scenes. All students received an “Excellent” rating! They also watched a performance from the Columbia Children’s Theatre and participated in 4 workshops: stage makeup, musical theatre dance, playwriting, and body puppetry!
