
On Friday night our 3rd and 4th graders performed their original musical Our Wonderful World. The show was completely created by our students and teachers! It was an incredible performance! Congratulations chameleons!

This morning our kindergarteners, first graders, second graders and fifth graders were able to watch the dress rehearsal for our 3rd and 4th grade performance. This show was completely created by our students and teachers! Way to go chameleons! We can't wait to see the show tonight at 6:30 at the GCHS auditorium.

Today we celebrated our Terrific Kids and had the best time! These Terrific Kids were chosen by their peers and teachers for their amazing character trait of Citizenship! Thank you to our wonderful PTA for providing this month's treat. Congratulations to our TERRIFIC Chameleons for November!

Gobble till you wobble! We hope everyone has a fabulous fall break!

Over the last week 3rd grade students have finished up their mini unit on plants and have made some gorgeous aromatic fire starters. They have also created some amazing infographics to explain their learning. Way to go 3rd grade!






Today we honored Veterans with our annual Veterans Day Program. Thank you to everyone who came and celebrated with us and to all the service members and their families, thank you for your service.

Today we wrapped up Red Ribbon Week by "Teaming Up Against Drugs!" Thank you so much for your support and participation!





For day three and four of Red Ribbon week we "Followed Our Dreams, Don't Do Drugs" by wearing our PJ's and now we are "REDy to Live Drug Free"
Join us tomorrow for the final day of Red Ribbon Week as we "Team up Against Drugs" Wear your favorite team jerseys, cheerleading outfits or any AIMS spirit wear.







For day two of Red Ribbon Week we said "Boo to Drugs" by wearing our Halloween costumes.
Join us tomorrow to "Follow You Dreams, Don't Do Drugs" and wear your PJ's to school. Don't forget your tennis shoes if you have PE.










To warp up the month of October we kicked off Red Ribbon Week by "Socking it to Drugs" and wearing crazy socks.
During the month students kindergarten through fifth grade participated in age-appropriate drug awareness lessons during their classroom guidance times.
We are excited to say "BOO to Drugs" tomorrow by wearing our Halloween costumes. Just a reminder no masks, props, face or makeup please.

Maria Earl and Jennifer Dragotta were awarded the Ray Doughty Arts Integration Award by Palmetto State Arts Education. This award honors teachers that embody the true spirit of arts integration through the successful utilization of community partnerships and resources.

Our Kinder Chameleons had a blast wrapping up the Crazy Color Creatures Unit by celebrating with color stations today!! Thank you to our teachers, staff, and volunteers for making today extra special and engaging for our kindergartners!!

Friday, September 15th was International Dot Day!
International Dot Day celebrates creativity, courage, and collaboration as inspired by the Peter Reynolds book "The Dot". Using theatre, dance, music, art, and technology, our Chameleons joined in on this global celebration and had a blast!











To better serve the physical and mental wellbeing of those who work for BCSD, the YMCA has partnered with the school district to provide free memberships to all BCSD employees. In celebration of this partnership, BCSD employees are invited to come out to the Cane Bay Family YMCA on Wednesday, Oct. 4 at 6 p.m. to activate their memberships and tour the Cane Bay facility.
