The South Carolina Department of Education purchased and provided Berkeley County School District and other school districts in our state with My Ride K-12 for communication of bus routes and delays. The app has been unable to provide parents with consistent delay information. BCSD is now tracking bus delays for parents using Google documents.

School starts Monday! Students may enter the building at 7:30 am. The late bell is at 8:05 am. Breakfast will be served in the cafeteria. Dismissal is at 3 pm. If your child is a car rider, make sure he/she knows whether you will pick up in back car loop or across street. We ask for your patience these first few days.

We had a great time celebrating our retirees this week! We will miss you and we are so thankful for your time at HMS… we also took time to recognize those who are not returning next year for various reasons. Thankful for you all!!! Then our 8th graders (and some adults too) enjoyed our annual ringing of the bell to dismiss for the final time this school year!! Hope everyone has a safe and fun/relaxing summer!!!

Berkeley County School District will continue to serve meals to students this summer.
The 2023 Summer Breakfast and Lunch Program is available to all students and children in the Berkeley County community. The program is free to all children under the age of 18. Dates, times and site information can be found at www.bcsdschools.net/summermeals.
