The Varsity softball team was able to take the field last night, picking up a win against the visiting Beaufort Eagles. The Knights and Eagles game was pushed back from Wednesday due to inclement weather. Stratford wasted no time jumping to a lead picking up five runs in the first. In the pitchers circle, Katie Bond and Lillian Hansen got the job done. Bond went 3 innings giving up 1 run, striking out six, while Hansen went 4 innings striking out four to earn the win. At the plate the Knights were led by Ella Bruorton. She went 2 for 4 with two runs scored and an RBI. Also collecting hits for the Knights were Layla Joyner, Gabby Cruz, Lillian Hansen, Katie Bond, Hannah Miller, and Tiara Eckmark.
The Knights return to action tonight at Fort Dorchester.
