The Varsity football team went on the road Wednesday night and came away with a 41-14 victory over Colleton County. The Knights got into the scoring act early, taking the first play from scrimmage 59 yards for a touchdown. Junior Quarterback Jachin Davis would connect with Junior receiver JQ Crosby from 59 yards out. Davis and Crosby connected six times on the night with three of them going for scores. Davis' final stat line was 11-14 for 253 yards and 4 touchdowns through the air. He would also add two TD's on the ground. Crosby finished with 6 catches for 173 yards and three touchdowns. Also scoring for the Knights was Sophomore Jayden Lee. He had two catches for 25 yards and a score.
On the ground, Francis LLoyd paced the Knights. The Junior carried the ball nine times for 73 yards. Senior Kerwin Squire chipped in 52 yards on the ground. He also had one catch for 24 yards. Defensively, Junior Trenton Fordham had an interception for the Knights.
Stratford returns to action next Friday night as they begin region play. They will be on the road at Berkeley.
