Last Friday, we were able to celebrate the graduates of Berkeley Middle College, as our staff and students cheered on their accomplishments! We can't wait to see them move onto their future endeavors!

Here's our aWESome Special Area department prepping for Field Days!! Remember to send students prepared for their day: Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grades will be tomorrow and 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades will be on Friday!
Last week's Chorus Performance has been rescheduled for TOMORROW, May 16 at 6pm. Please have singers arrive at 5:40, and our audience in place by 6:00. Come check out this talented group of young people!
As a way of continuing to promote child nutrition and adding to the many celebrations capping the end of the school year, Berkeley County School District’s Office of Child Nutrition Services will launch a special giveaway next week (May 20–24) that will offer some big prizes.
Elementary, middle and high school students eating lunch and/or breakfast next week will be entered into a drawing for prizes that include, but are not limited to:
*iPads
*Wireless earbuds/headphones
*Underwater cameras
*Projectors
*Action cameras
*Bluetooth speakers
Students will receive one entry into the drawing for each meal they eat. Winners will be drawn at random, and those who eat multiple meals will obviously have an increased chance of winning.

Testing Season is upon us! On Friday, we were PUMPED UP, to remind students to Do Their Best On The Test! Over the next couple of weeks, all K-5 students are working on their End of Year iReady math + reading assessments, in addition to our grades 3-5 who begin SC Ready State Testing tomorrow! Please make sure your child gets good rest and arrives to school on time, and prepared to do their best!

Here are some of our wonderful Students of the Month! Students are chosen monthly by exhibiting the character trait of that month!
The evening of April 25 all of the artists at Whitesville will be on display. Please join us in celebrating “The Faces of Whitesville” in the multi-purpose room STEAM Night April 25. A showcase of over 1200 self portraits! Each and every student at WES has been working diligently in art class, creating a self portrait in the style of a famous artist. Artworks will be arranged by grade level and by homeroom and EVERY artist will have one. (Artwork will be sent home after the show before the year’s end). Please come celebrate the creativity we have here at Whitesville!
