Spring has sprung! BCSD Spring Break runs April 1-5. All students return to school on April 8.

Ms. Pardue and Ms. K's, CERDEP class enjoyed their Mystery Reader this morning! The students loved pledging, "To Be Ourselves"!

The WES Wise Owls made their debut appearance in First Tee's, "Charleston Champion Cup" which was held at Wescott Plantation Golf Club! First Tee is a youth development organization that enables kids to build the strength of character that empowers them through a lifetime of new challenges. By seamlessly integrating the game of golf with a life skills curriculum, we create active learning experiences that build inner strength, self-confidence, and resilience that kids can carry in everything they do. All of our students participated in a golf unit this month in PE. These awesome 8 went on to represent our school at Champions Cup and placed 5th out of 16 schools!

Mrs. Weber came to work with CERDEP last week to help get the class garden started! She donated a wide variety of seeds, soil and rocks for rock painting. She spent nearly 2 hours with us helping us plant class plants we will eventually transplant into our raised garden-bed and plants that the kiddos will be able to take home in a few weeks. She also brought in mini microscopes so we could examine leaves, moss, onions and honeybees. We were also able to use our magnifying glasses to see a tiny fish she brought in to visit us for the day as well. Santee Cooper also donated a $100 gift card for us to use on this class project! 🤩
Thank you to our community partnerships!!
