The BCSD Student, Teacher, and Parent Climate Surveys window opened on Monday March 3rd and will close Friday March 21st. All students in grades 3-12 and all teachers, librarians, guidance counselors, ROTC instructors, career specialists, and speech therapists are expected to participate in the survey. Congratulations to Ms. Shana Taylor for being named Westview Elementary’s Teacher of the Year! We had the honor of celebrating her achievement at tonight’s School Board Meeting, recognizing the incredible dedication and passion she brings to our students every day. Ms. Taylor consistently goes above and beyond to create a nurturing and engaging learning environment. We are so proud to have her as part of the WVE family!

We are honored to welcome Chris Singleton to Westview Elementary on February 19 to help us celebrate Black History Month.
Chris is a Goose Creek native, and former CSU and Chicago Cubs player. He has written multiple children’s books celebrating love and black history.
We want to thank Toys for Tots for giving 100 of our students the chance to win one of Chris’s books.

BCSD schools and offices will re-open and resume normal operations tomorrow, Monday, Jan. 27.

Due to concerns about icy conditions and the ongoing impact of inclement weather, Berkeley County School District students will learn from home and complete eLearning Day assignments on Friday, January 24. In response to ongoing forecasts for wintry weather, to include the potential for snow, Berkeley County School District (BCSD) announced that schools will follow the half-day dismissal bell schedule on Tuesday, January 21. Students will learn from home and complete eLearning Day assignments on Wednesday, January 22. All schools and offices will be closed Wednesday.

ACCESS is a standardized test to measure the English Language Proficiency of students identified as Multilingual Learners (MLs) in Kindergarten through 12.
