These are a few pictures from our 3rd Grade Classroom Celebration Ceremonies today! Students did a great job sharing what they are most proud of First Quarter. Many also shared their Leadership Binders with their parents. A great community turnout! Tomorrow is Grade 4.
Our students surpassed their September School Wide "Wildly Important Goals" for Reading and Math! They were awarded with a "Hat Day" for all!
Our Fifth Grade "Patriot Night Lights" just finished up Football and had a game for their parents last week. It was exciting and fun! This week they are moving onto Volleyball. I will post more pics after they play their game at the end of the month. A special thank you to Mr. Dillon, Mr. Pellittiere and Mr. Mowris for coming up with the idea, organizing it and working with these athletes each week. Stratford here we come!
Students are super excited about reaching their iReady Goals! When they reach levels 10, 20 or 30 passed lessons in either Reading or Math they get to autograph the window! Additionally, at 20 and 30 lessons they are able to ring the "I did it!" bell, as well!!
SRI and SRE hosted an informational breakfast for our Multilingual families this week. Title 1 Facilitators, ML Teachers, and the district ML Liaison answered questions of our families and helped them learn how to assist their students at home. It was a success for all!
So proud of Fourth Grade Teacher, Heide Wittchow for organizing relief for victims of Hurricane Helene. Thank you to the students and families that were able to donate to help others. This is our first service learning project of the year. Mrs. Wittchow left this morning to deliver the supplies. Great job everyone!

Berkeley County School District will utilize the Teacher Workday/Inclement Weather Day on October 11 as a weather make-up, e-Learning Day for students, as designated in the BCSD Instructional Calendar. This adjustment is necessary due to the postponement of the first day of school from August 14 to August 15, following impacts of Tropical Storm Debby.

Due to forecasted impacts of Hurricane Helene, Berkeley County School District (BCSD) students will learn from home and complete eLearning Day assignments on Friday, September 27. All after-school activities and after-school care programs will close at 6 p.m. this evening.
All schools and offices will be closed Friday, and before and after-school care programs are canceled. As the storm system is projected to move out of the area that afternoon, after school activities may resume after 4 p.m. on Friday.
Join us Thursday, September 26th at 8am for our Patriot Partner Meeting. This is our School Improvement and Title I Planning team. Volunteer Training will begin immediately following this meeting at 8:45am. Please RSVP so that we can adequately prepare!

Our Join the Team Open House was a great success. It was wonderful seeing many of our families in attendance. Remember we need you and want you involved in your child's education. Please reach out to your child's teacher to set up a conference on September 20th if you can. Teachers are trying to meet with 100% of our families first semester!
Today was our first Kona Ice Day! We will have Kona Ice visit our school each month. The students really enjoyed it!
